In Summer 2024, two of ACC Yukon board members, John Serjeantson and Rob Cohen, received a grant from the Yukon 125 prize for an expedition into the Boundary Ranges of Southern Yukon. Their goal was to attempt a first ascent on one of the most striking features of the Radelet Peak Massif (Aka the ‘Crystal Towers’), one of the most coveted lines in the local alpine rock climbing community. With extremely experienced First Ascensionists in the lead, Dave Benton and Zach Clanton, they battled cold, wind, and poor weather over a week and a half to try and reach the summit.
Come watch the 35 minute film about their attempt of this amazing route in the Crystal Towers on January 30th at Winterlong brewing! The film starts at 7:15pm and the remaining time (until 9pm) will be a social night for community members to mingle, drink local beer, find new adventure partners, and learn about the ACC. There will be a prize for the fastest alpine butterfly knot, so get practicing!
